Jansz Tasmania is a luxury sparkling wine house, solely devoted to the art of sparkling winemaking since 1986. Location is integral to growing outstanding fruit and only Tasmania can boast such idyllic conditions. Aromas of honeysuckle, citrus zest and fresh strawberries from the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir fruit. Extended time on lees during secondary fermentation contributes to more complex aromas of nougat and roasted nuts. The Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon, first released in 2001, has been inspired by the great cricketing history of this vineyard. The wines consistently show great line and length. The nose leads with aromas of fresh tobacco leaf, cassis, boysenberry and spice. A silk like entry on the palate with super fine, detailed tannin, ripe berried fruits, a hint of tobacco and the classic brambles of Clare Cabernet to finish.

This micro-batch, super-premium Riesling is the fruit of years of patience. The Florita leaps from the glass, with white florals, orange blossom, orange rind, exotic lime, bath salts and fresh wild lavender. Crystalline from the second the wine enters the mouth. The characters of the nose flow through to the palate, all finishing with dried lime leaves. This Riesling is an absolute powerhouse, with intense flavour and an incredibly long drive.

This Shiraz honours the vision of pioneer Clare Valley winemaker Jim Barry and his wife Nancy. In 1964, Jim and Nancy purchased 70 acres of prime land from Duncan McRae Wood and planted their first vineyard with Shiraz. It was an inspired choice of both grape variety and location. Vibrant aroma of lifted violets, red currant, and perfectly ripe back plum, combine with well-integrated spice and a hint of very smart oak hidden in the background. The palate has commanding fruit with a density that stands to attention. Effortless flow throughout with flavours of ripe plum and purple fruits and layered fine tannin. Great intensity with a drive that will last for days.

Lifted spice and ripe mulberry/blackberry aromas are complemented with chocolate, cedar and cinnamon on the nose. Well-integrated oak tannin provides flavours of clove and supple texture, which supports the rich plum, blackberry and mocha. The overall structure is supple and generous with fine-grained tannin and a lingering finish.
