Penfolds Max's Shiraz is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert 1948-1975, a legend in Penfolds history. Max's constant pursuit of excellence paved the way for those who followed in his footsteps and also allowed the status and heritage of Penfolds to grow. A contemporary offering of South Australian Shiraz, this release provides a fruit-driven wine which is generous in flavour and persistent across the palate.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon parcels sourced from vineyards throughout the Barossa. The fruit is fermented for up to 14 days, then aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak. Individual parcels of fruit are matured separately to maximise the blend's complexity and finalised through a selection process. The resulting wine is rich and concentrated with aromas of ripe dark berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums with mint and varietal leafy notes. The palate is plush with flavours balanced by fine, textural tannins.

A tribute to the Barossa's winemaking heritage, Pepperjack is crafted using a blend of traditional techniques and modern flair. Winemaker Richard Mattner - a born-and-bred Barossa local - loves making Pepperjack wines as much as he loves drinking them, especially alongside a great steak. As he says: "Why would I need anything else?" Deep dark red with a vibrant purple rim, the nose bursts with rich aromas of blackberry, blueberry, dark chocolate, mocha, and spice. The palate is plush and layered, delivering concentrated dark fruits, fine tannins, and a soft, lingering finish. Pepperjack Shiraz is a true Barossa classic.

Aromas of orange blossom, nectarine and fresh nutmeg combine with delicate layers of subtly integrated oak, fine minerality and ripe citrus fruit flavours. Delicate elegance underpins this finely textured wine which reflects Peregrine's commitment to organic wine growing on the Bendigo sub region that contribute to this Chardonnay.

Rich red berry aromatics and underlying spice notes fuse with a delicately structured palate layered with hints of cacao, gorgeously pure fruit, subtle oak and silky tannins. A delicate Riesling with a finely textured palate featuring elegant minerality, lime zest and preserved lemon flavours which combine beautifully with floral, citrus and lemongrass aromatics. A delicate and textural dry Riesling with fine acidity.

Enticing aromatics of white peach, pear and honeydew melon combine with a bright palate laced with quince, nectarine, and orange zest flavours. A cool climate Pinot Gris, dry in style showing sweet fruit flavours balanced with fresh acidity.

Fresh red berry, star anise, wild strawberry and pretty floral aromas combine with lovely bright red fruit, gentle spice and subtle creaminess. A pure expression of Central Otago Pinot Noir. Luscious and fruit focussed with great flavour and soft supple tannin.

Lovely crisp bright aromatics of red fruits and florals followed by a light and refreshing palate with fresh summer berries and a morish finish. Soft pink, bright and fruity, a vibrant summer wine to enjoy with or without food.

Bright and deep red, the aroma is abundant in savoury plum, fennel seed and dark chocolate aromas. Naturally low in tannins, the wine is soft and abundant in rich dark fruits with a lovely Christmas cake-like finish. The sweetness is apparent, but balanced by the complexity of fruit-weight and time spent on tirage before disgorgement.

Light straw-yellow in appearance, the wine has aromas of lemon peel, honey and wax with lemon sherbet, tropical fruits and butterscotch. The palate is luscious with lovely dried apricots, lemon marmalade, and toffee characters. The wine showcases a bright finish of lemon acidity breaking through the natural residual sweetness. Enjoy with creamy blue vein cheese or washed rind cheeses. A delicious accompaniment for fruit flans or warm winter puddings.

The colour is impressive, big and rich with fine grained chalky tannins carrying the concentrated dark fruits and opulent oak.
