The Jones family are original pioneers of Marlborough, with William Jones founding the Starborough homestead and sheep station in 1865. Four generations later the original Starborough homestead block in the Awatere valley continues to thrive and is now producing world class wine. This Pinot Noir is a stylish wine showing aromas of red cherry and dark plum complemented with a subtle savoury oak complexity and red florals. The succulent palate has rich sweet flavours of bright red cherry and berry fruits interwoven with spice and red liquorice. The fine tannin structure and balanced acidity flow to a silky smooth lingering finish.
